At the forefront of conversation in the United States is the topic of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) because of its importance in the global economy. Former President Barack Obama stated that now is the time to reconstruct the economic growth of the country through building, creating, and producing (Briggs, 2016). This economic growth that serves as the gateway to economic prosperity is contingent upon having a plethora of scientists, technicians, engineers, and mathematicians.
The curriculum at H.I.S School is infused with STEM lessons in every area of the academic day. Students perform safe, age appropriate experiments and take periodic trips to support all STEM lessons.
